Auberon is a world-renowned rock and metal band in the wizarding world, consisting of five former Hogwarts students (mostly from Ravenclaw house). Formed in 1995, the band only gained any prominence in 1999 after supporting the Weird Sisters at a concert and the release of their first album, Fearann de na Sìthichean.

A lot of their content features fantastical and mythical settings not present in even the wizarding world, though some do discuss real wizarding events and creatures. For the later reason they're considered more political in some ways than a lot of their peers in the industry; a lot of the members having experiences during the Second Wizarding War.
